Good Day Cadets / Parents / Guardians
I hope everyone is safe and healthy and doing their best to cope with our current situation.
As I announced last week in order to keep everyone safe and healthy all cadet activities have been cancelled until at least April 5. Our current situation is evolving daily, and as I receive updates rest assured, I will be sharing them with you. To keep up to date please stayed tuned to our website or our Facebook page.
I want to note that attendance records, promotions, and proficiency level advancements will not be impacted by attendance issues related to COVID 19.
With March break now ending, I realize that we may have some cadets and families that are now in self isolation due to travel. If there is anything that the 638 Squadron Staff can do to help, please do not hesitate to reach out, we will be more than happy to help.
The health and safety of our cadets is my primary concern; if you are in self isolation or have tested positive for COVID 19 please let me know by email at wmcgin@outlook.com.
Now that March break is over, I would like to encourage all Cadets to take advantage of the “Learn at Home” program released this week by the Ministry of Education. https://lah.elearningontario.ca/ Your education matters!
Capt Duchene had an excellent idea of a boot polishing contest that will be judged the first night back to cadets. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place. I encourage all cadets to participate and post pictures of your progress to our Facebook page. Let’s get this competition going!!
We are all in this together but through social distancing, washing your hands now more than ever, coughing or sneezing into a tissue or your elbow, then of course washing your hands again, we will get through this!!
Please do not hesitate to reach out if anyone needs any assistance.
