1. Thank you to Cpl Owen Crewe’s Family who sponsored our Healthy Snack this month.  This initiative provides a healthy alternative to our normal canteen during all sports nights.  If you are interested in sponsoring a future Healthy Snack please speak to Sharon Singleton.
  2. Thank you to the families that have donated supplies to our Squadron canteen.  These donations are grealty appreciated and help generate funding for Squadron activities.  If you wish to contribute water, pop, chocolate bars, chips, etc… to our Squadron canteen please drop off your donations on training nights at the Armoury.
  3. Cadets participating in Gliding are to be dropped off at the Armoury between 1730-1745hrs (5:30-5:45pm) this Friday evening.  DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 1730HRS!!! Cadets must eat supper on Friday night before being dropped off at the Armoury, all other meals will be provided.  The Cadets will be staying in barracks and bedding will be provided.  If you hand in your permission slip and something changes that you are unable to attend you must inform Captain Dan Duchene.
  4. Good luck to the 11 members of the 638 Squadron’s Orienteering team participating in the OSLA Zone Orienteering Competition on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in Orleans!  Participants are to be dropped off Saturday at 0700hrs (7:00 am)  and picked up at 1850hrs (6:50 pm) at Irving Big Stop, 1751 Paul Martin Dr, Pembroke.
  5. We will once again be holding a Bottle Drive a few times throughout the cadet year.  Our first one will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.  Bring in your bottles and cans (anything that can be returned to the Beer Store) between 6:00pm and 6:45pm and we will return them to help support our Squadron.
  6. Trivia Night is back!  Join us at the Pembroke Legion on Friday, November 8th at 7pm for a brain boosting round of trivia. Parents gather your friends and family to form teams of up to 8 people.  Register at Sharon638aircadets@gmail.com.  The cost is $10/person. This is an adult fundraising event.
  7. The new United Way campaign has been launched.  If you donate to the United Way through your work we would ask you to consider directing your donation to 638 Squadron.  The Squadron is registered as #638 Algonquin Squadron and our registration number is 130387665RR0036.  All donations are greatly appreciated.
