1. Congratulations to the 17 cadets who successfully completed the Standard First Aid Couse this past weekend.
  2. Biathlon:  Next practice is 30 Nov 2019  1300 (1:00 pm) to 1430 (2:30 pm) meet at the Pembroke Armoury. We will be conducting dryland training both inside and outside. Wear running shoes, athletic/sweat pants/leggings, jacket, gloves, toque. Bring a filled water bottle.  Dress for the weather.  Open to ALL cadets interested in learning more about the sport.
  3. Level 5’s participating in the PO 513 weekend are to be at the Pembroke Armoury NLT 1745 for pickup on the 29 November 2019 and must have eaten super prior. They will be returning on Dec 01 2019 at 1515 hrs. Please email Lt McGinley at alexander.mcginley@forces.gc.ca to receive the joining instructions or if you have any questions.
  4. Next week, Wednesday, November 27th, is the last day to hand in orders for first aid kits. Please try to sell at least one kit, as this is one of our bigger fundraising activities.  All first aid kits will be back by Wednesday, December 11th. 
  5. All cadets that have volunteered to take part with us in the Pembroke Santa Claus Parade of Lights on Saturday, November 23rd should be dropped off at the Metro Moncion parking lot by 4;45pm.  Cadets should be wearing their uniform, parka, gloves and a Christmas hat.  If you do not have a Christmas hat, please let us know and we will provide one.  Cadets are to be picked up at Equinox School (Festival Hall) after the parade is over. Cadets will be downstairs in the basement area where they are invited to have hot chocolate and hot dogs. 
  6. 450 THS is requesting the assistance of 15 Cadets for the Children’s Christmas party. The Party is on Dec 8th from 1000-1600 (10AM- 4PM) Our Cadets will assist in the running of activities, supervising bouncy castles and helping with face painting, etc.  Cadet T-shirt and goofy Christmas hat is highly recommended!  Please contact Capt. Morrisey if you are interested in participating at: ch147fe@gmail.com, or sign up on the FB page or the TeamUp calendar.  Cadets will also be able to “Build a Bear” at a cost of $30 if they so desire. (signup deadline for the build a bear is November 24th).
  7. The 11th Annual Ottawa Valley Cadet Christmas Formal is being held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Fellow’s High School from 1900-2300hrs.  Dress is formal attire or cadet uniform (white shirt and bow tie optional).  Cost is $7.00 per cadet and guest.  Canteen will be open.
  8. Cadets interested in participating in Drill Team are asked to see Capt McGinley to sign up. Drill Team is open to all cadets  and is a great opportunity to learn drill movements for all new cadets. In order to participate in competition we need a team of 16 dedicated cadets, practices will begin in early January in order to prepare for the competition taking place May 6, 2020.
  9. Ground School is scheduled every Monday evening at the Pembroke Armoury from 1900-2100hrs (7-9pm) unless otherwise stated.
  10. Marksmanship is scheduled every Monday evening at the Pembroke Armoury from 1800-2100hrs (6:00-9:00pm).
  11. Cadets and parents are reminded that cadets should not be at the Armoury on Wednesdays prior to 1800hrs (6pm).
