1. We would like to congratulate the following Cadets have qualified for this year’s competitive Marksmanship Team:  WOI Sonoski, Sgt Yelisyev, FCpl Douglas, FCpl Spurrell, and Cpl Yelisyev.  Please join us in wishing the all luck at the competition in Ottawa this Saturday.  Capt Morrisey would like to pass on a huge thank you to Sgt James Bondy and Cpl Mark Solomine for their continuing support to the Marksmanship program this year. 
  2. The Marksmanship Competition will be held on Saturday 07 Mar 2020.  All Cadets must be at the Irving Big Stop no later than 0845 on Saturday morning.  All Cadets must have their provincial health card in their possession or they will not be allowed to compete.  Cadets are to be dressed in appropriate civilian attire.  The expected return time to the Irving is between 2045-2100 (8:45 pm- 9:00 pm). We will keep you posted via the Sqn Facebook page on our arrival time.
  3. WINTER FUN DAY Date Saturday, 7 March, 2020.  Open to all cadets with a valid provincial health card.  Drop off 1030 hrs (10:30 am) @ Petawawa Golf Club, 3 Festubert Blvd, Petawawa.  Pick Up 1700 hrs (5:00 pm) @ Dundonald Hall, Garrison Petawawa, 57 Festubert Blvd, Petawawa.  Dress: Winter attire – boots, jacket, snowpants, toque, gloves/mittens wearing exercise clothes underneath. Cost: Free.  Kit: Heath card,  Filled water bottle, sled of some sort, if you have one, swim suit/towel, indoor athletic shoes,LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED **If your cadet requires a special diet, they MUST bring their own lunch/snack.   4. If you still have ski/biathlon equipment signed out, please return it to Captain Frampton no later than 11 March 2020.
  5. Thank you to all the Cadets who have applied to receive the Lord Strathcona Medal and the Legion Medal.  No further applications will be accepted.  Good luck to all the cadets that applied.
  6. On Monday March the 9th we will be conducting a Drill Team practice at the Pembroke Armoury from 1830-2030.
  7. Drill Team Practice will be held on Wednesday nights from 1730-1830hrs at the Armoury all are welcome.
  8. Reminder that there will not be a parade night on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 due to Ontario March Break.
  9. Cadets and parents are reminded that cadets should not be at the Armoury on Wednesdays prior to 1800hrs (6pm).
  10. Cancellation Policy Due to Weather – There may be a requirement to cancel a regular training night and/or activity from time to time due to weather conditions. Every effort will be made to publicize the cancellation on the Squadron’s Website and Facebook page no later than 1300hrs on the day in question. We encourage all cadets and parent/guardian(s) to check these two sources for updates.  As always parents and/or guardians should use their judgment when deciding whether or not to venture out on the roads to bring their son/daughter/ward to cadets.
